Hey,

This question I am sure has been asked before so if someone can direct me to the response or respond directly to this post:

I have a voltage regulator that is going bad on an 05tba and was wondering if anyone has an alternate mod to replace the stock VR? I don't feel like paying 200bucks for an inefficient piece of crap again. I know some people are using something off of a Yamaha or someting....I think....but I don't know if this is the best replacement option. The VR on the tba has 5 wires and I am hesitant to cut and splice into something else, not knowing its wiring schematic. Can I get some advice?

Thanks,

Are you sure its going bad and it can't just be modified with a thicker wire from the regulator to the battery? The stock wire is thin and too long and has a tendency to fry out and not charge the battery optimally. I did this mod and have had great success with my charging since.

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.
