An MCN reader has warned of his fears a new Triumph jacket could invite trouble for its wearer.
MAG member and West Midlands resident Carl Lolley says he believes the logo on Triumph’s Marlon Brando jacket is too similar to that of notorious biker group the Outlaws.
“This is the area where the guys who killed [He||’s Angel] Gerry Tobin came from. It’s still very touchy. Wearing something like that could get you hurtâ€.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club? Come on Triumph... this is just a little over the top. Really... this came from Triumph? Makes ya wonder how that one got approved at some marketing meeting.

Triumph was working a couple years to work out a deal with the Brando family, since the Steve McQueen line and Bob Dylan stuff was pretty popular.

I'm not one to support or glorify gangs or gang mentality - However, I see no valid reason some gang poser with a store-bought gang jacket should escape a good asspacking in some dark alley by some burley, offended, color wearin' hog daddy.

Yeah Soren?! Well, I certainly hope the guys at Triumph don't take this new Brando line to the extreme at all!
Yep...I sure hope they'll draw the line before any official Triumph "Last Tango in Paris" fingernail clippers hit the accessory catalog!!!
(yep...what say we leave THAT sort'a stuff to Harley-Davidson, 'cuz they do THIS sort'a thing soooooo much "better", as we all know!!!)

How about some offical Triumph "Grease 2" hair gel? That should also appeal to the old Rockers BTW back patch clubs can be touchy about this kinda thing. I can remember one guy recieving a quite word about his small not-quite-a Deaths Head tattoo on his arm. I believe angle grinders were mentioned

"Grease 2", you say Bryn???
Well, I'm not sure if an official Triumph Maxwell Caulfield line of hair-care products would have quite the same level of appeal to the intended demographics as would this Triumph Brando line!!!
(BTW, "Grease 2" HAS to be one of THE worse movies ever made...but at least it DID feature the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer in one of her first roles!!!)

Yeah..well...don't forget Graham that it's STILL up to the consumer to purchase this little "I wanna be a 'real biker'" jacket, and so I'd say any "problems" that may come with the wearing of it would mostly likely be THEIR responsibility, wouldn't ya say???

I like it. It should lose the BRMC though. Anytime you put M C on something, you're asking for trouble by those who take it a little too seriously.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

I agree, the BRMC got to go. Saw this jacket on the back cover of the Triumph mag and thought cool logo, but what's with the BRMC. On the other hand you get a 1% er all methed up and they find just the Triumph logo offensive.

The jacket looks fine. I don't think there should be any problem unless you go into their bars wearing it, kick over their bikes and spit in their eyes. Of course you could loose weight running for your life. if you do spit in thier eye and kick over their bikes, regardless of wearing the jacket or not.

Now why can't all these "children" just get along, HUH?! (now THIS is probably the reason why every "child" should be required to wear the same uniform!...they're JUST not mature enough to handle their differences in a reasonable and civilized manner, you see!!!)

First of all, you GO girl!
I admire anyone willing to kick over a motorcycle subject to whatever consequences may be meted out by said motorcycle's owner. I submit that tactically, it might be more effective to kick the owner in the eyes (or spit, but that's such a bad habit) as a warm-up to kicking-over the bikes. It would make you more difficult to track during your withdrawal.

I agree that the Triumph logo is much cooler than the outlaws logo. Not sure the BRMC is a good idea, definitely invites some trouble.

Nah, I love motorcycels way too much to kick any of them over, but if I'm really in the mood to cause trouble I might kick dirt on one. Threats and movements to make the owner think I'm going to are fun too. Usually everyone knows I'm just looking to have fun and won't get too mad, but still it gets a chase going for a few steps sometimes.
Don't worry guys, I'm not mean to the bikes, just the riders.
Also, don't blame Soren that I wasn't on this site before, he's not the boss of me! LOL!
Doesn't it go that way? I'm the boss 'cause it's all about me, right? My bike's bigger. Makes me the boss? Oh, I think I'm getting myself in trouble.

That jacket will get you a kicking wherever you wear it... Outlaws because it mimics their colours, and others who may mistake it for one. Definate no, why the need for a "wanna be biker patch" ? If you want the patch join the club...

I think I will wear that over my fake Sons of Anarchy shirts. No outlaw is going to bother anybody for that logo. Colors are very specific and that ain't theirs. All 100% of 1%ers know the breakdown of colors. Top is their group, center is their logo and bottom is their location. I say not a problem. I think its silly to belong to an imaginary gang. That could get you picked on but from the Outlaws??? comon

Went to a swap meet over the weekend, yup there were a couple guys wearing sons of anarchy stuff. Really why would you want too. If you like the show than watch it, but to wear a fake club shirt cause you don't have the balls to be in a real club. really...geeze
Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?
