My wife suprised me with a 2006 America this weekend for my Birthday! Best Birthday present that I have ever got. Now I have to pay for it, and save up for some accessories. She said that she was starting to feel sorry for me as I sat in front of the computer looking at bikes on the BA forum. It came with the Triumph Touring seat and tall backrest/ luggage rack. I want to keep the Touring Seat for long trips with my wife on back, but I want to get a lower profile/sportier seat for short trips and around town. Is the solo & Pillion or the stock Speedmaster Roadster seat more comfortable for 2-up riding? Thanks for your help.

That should be pretty obvious. The Speedmaster seat has a teeny weeny little area for the pillion. She won't like it for more than three minutes...

Do yourself a favor and get the Corbin solo and pillion seat. Best of both worlds, you have a sweet looking solo seat and a super comfortable passenger seat for when she wants to ride. Made a world of difference for my wife. Besides, yours sounds like a pretty understanding lady, she won't mind you spending a few bucks on the seat, right?

Yah don't go for the Speedmaster seat. Your wife will hate you. As has already been suggested, get the Corbin. It is pricey but from what I hear well worth it. I ordered mine a few days ago.

You will be able to ride waaaay longer with the Corbin than any stock triumph seat. Plus, they look amazing. I've had all 3 stock triumph seats but none of them come close to the comfort of the Corbin.

Geez Chris, that's almost a cut-n-paste from mountainmans Corbin thread!

It sounds like everybody loves the corbin seat. Several people have said that it is a good idea to talk to them and have the seat custom made for height and weight. I would like to see the seat cut down a bit to make it have a lower profile. Do you know if Corbin is willing/able to make these kinds of changes?

They will custom tailor your seat if you contact them when you order. I have heard that stitching in the seat improves comfort even more. The backrest is the goods as well. I think the seat is pretty low profile already, considering how much padding there is in it. I can't pass up the opportunity to post HUGE pics to annoy everyone!

Just keep the Touring Seat on all of the time, if you want to ride two-up.
For solo use, I liked the GunFighter seat just fine. Felt about the same.

Mat, not every one likes corbin saddles. Sit on one or several before you sell the touring seat. Happy Birthday too. Yous yanks. brrr. Having a new motorsickle as Idaho stares at another dusting tonight has to stink, eh?

It is definetly hard to have the bike in the gagage with 3 foot of snow in my yard. I am ready for spring. Is it best to order the Corbin from thier website or from a vendor?
