so i've been looking at a few different windshield posts and have narrowed it down to either the clearview shield or the two up model from national cycle.
first, if i go with the clearview shield i need to find a set of triumph roadster brackets. does anyone know where i can get a set of these? i've been looking everywhere and cant seem to find the things. but the price of the clearview is attractive.
second, i do like the convienence of "one stop shopping" from national cycle. the on and off easiness of the switchblade system is nice, but i wish there was a way to lock it should i want to leave it on for a while. my bike stays outside under a cover and i dont want to have to worry about someone taking my shield.
anyone with any experience with either of these windshields....your opinion?

I ordered all the hardware from Triumph. See my thread called (Summer Screen Hardware Part Numbers...)
Depending on if the screen is a Summer screen or Roadster screen, some of the hardware is different, but all the parts are available separately.
I have the Clearview Summer Screen, which is wider and taller than stock.

I have the Clearview Roadster screen, 18.5". Love it! You can get the mounting hardware from your dealer, but not the chrome strips for the screen. Your best bet if you go that way may be to find a whole kit used on ebay and ditching the Triumph screen.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

I wonder how much a dealer would want for that Roaster hardware. In Classified I have a Roaster screen and hardware for sale but the $200 obo would probably be more than just the hardware.

Adam, looks like you've made your mind up between the clearview or the national but I had the clearview and whilst it was a good screen, for looks it just had something about it that wasn't right with me. For a couple of reasons I had to change to a bigger one so I took the opportunity to buy the Memphis shades big shot. I'm a bit over 6' and for looks and protection I couldn't be happier. I've also put on the lowers which I wasn't a fan of originally but I have them on in such a way which look good and prevents to extra movement of air upwards which can occur when you have a screen. Just my two cents worth. I also did look into the national cycle but whether it was me or not, I couldn't seem to find the answers I was after for it to fit my bike. I suspect it's all been sorted since then though. good luck staffo

I replied to your pm but for any others, email fast Eddy. He has got a Memphis screen for your size. He suggested the big shot for me and was spot on the money. After having had the clearview which i may add is a very good screen. It's just that I believe the Memphis offers more options and looks great to boot. Btw, the quick release hardware can be bought with the screen fm Eddy.
Let me know if you want pics and I'll put them on here.

I just ordered a big shot from Eddy and he's able to work out all the mounting requirements for you. As suggested just email Eddy and get expert advise.
