We went to The One Motorcycle Show last night. There were a lot of interesting customs, restorations, unrestored and rat bikes there. I thought I would share a couple of them here. I do have more pics at http://www.sorenwinslow.com/Photos.asp?Gallery=OneMCShow2010. Batteries in the camera died, otherwise I would have gotten more pics. After seeing this one, I told my wife that since she does sew, she could build her own bike Show me the way to the Speedway track! Vintage racing side car Steam bike. Looks like it is completely home made. Not in the show, but can you say super rat bike

A lot of time went into making an obscure brand like a Jawa! Don't see many of those, especially in stitched form.

That first one there had me in stitches (what a freakin' groaner that is... yet somehow irresistible).
Live to love, love to live.

The sidecar with "In Memory of Schweik" is not one I would care to ride in

OMG that speedway Trumpy is the coolest thing I've ever seen!! I'd love to slide around my neighbourhood on that!

They are really cool. I've seen them on TV racing and always wanted to see them race in person. Did ya notice the complete lack of any braking equipment on the bike? Yowser, made for sliding and going fast, not slowing down or stopping. Appears to have the old 250cc single motor, pretty sturdy if you can keep the rings intact.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I didn't even know about this. You should have given me a call. It looks like it was pretty cool.

I thought Liz told everyone, I found out about it from her. Sorry about that.

Great pics Soren. It looks like the steam bike's builder blew his bankroll putting all that copper up front, cuz everything from the motor back looks like pure junk haphazardly thrown together. The seat springs look like they're resting on 1/2" copper pipe. What a trip!
