Who does hot rodding of the Triumphs. The old guys that worked on my Beezer and my old Trumpet won't touch the new ones and I ain't going to the Harley shops and have them look down their noses at me. I'd like to do big bore kit and stuff but don't have the time or shop space to do it myself. I live in North western Penn. HELP!!-Bro. Fozzie

How far are you from me? I'm up near Rochester, NY. Matt has a nice heated workspace too. Do they make good beer in that part of PA?
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Brother Fozz, What are they scared of? It's an internal combustion engine, with overhead cams, so there are no pushrods to mess with and it's fed through two of the simplest built carbs made.....Take it to Pat. He'll get you going in the right direction........Angelis

Perhaps the Harley shops are frightened of a modern motor than can rev past 3,000 RPM?

You don't even need a big bore kit. The bike out of the factory with the exhaust and carb opened up a bit make these bikes hot rods. I pulled up to some hot rod HD lookin like an orange county job and from the line it was neck to neck to 5th gear. Not bad for a 790cc engine ...

If you dont have the facility to do it yourself, S.W. PA. has Adams cycle I heard he has a new mehanic that is good. I think his web site is www.adamscycle.com.

Hot Rodding the motor isn't all that hard. As a matter of fact I have been looking into some aftermarket parts that are built for Harley's and may fit our bikes with a little adaptation and some hard earned greenbacks. I recently bought a harley exhaust system that will fit and have sent my order for a set of dual carbs from edelbrock that I have to machine the intakes to mate the carbs to the Triumph mtr. So with a little ingenuity and some research, you can start your hot rod motor build yourself.....Angelis

That site is a redirect to some site that has a lost of ads and other crap on it. Surely that's not the right one?
Man, if I knew anything, I'd be rich and famous...

I'd be interested to know what kind of Harley exhaust system (V-twin) fits our parallel twins! I guess you have installed just cans or mufflers?
I have H*rley fishtails on my stock Speedy headers, but I'd love over-under shotgun style pipes. I'm trying to find out how you go about building headers. Unfortunately in Canada there isn't a speed shop on every corner like in the US.
The carbs sound wild. Good luk with that.

Hey Brit, Just take your bike to a muffler shop that can bend and weld. Tell them exactly how you want your pipes and they should be able to make a set for you. You might have to cut your mounting flange off the factory exhuast and have them weld it onto your new exhaust. And yes, I am using just the muffler bodies on my rebuild......Angelis

Just currious,
Why didnt you just buy one(exhaust system) that was already made for teh BA/S? If you want crazy speed, drop the big bucks on the turbo connection boost for the Bonnie.
wish I had the $$ for one.
