" I can only assume that he slipped due to the icy conditions and then became entangled in the pipe. The temperature then dropped some more which then caused the pipe to contract around the man and he was unable to free himself!!!  Either that or he is a sick perv!!!

Has anyone considered that it could have been a really good looking piece of steel pipe? I think he may switch to plastic piping in future.
At what point did the guy think "i'd better call for help"?
Take it from me - I've had a couple of callouts to people who have either inserted into or had inserted in them what can loosely be termed "inanimate objects" and the stories are better than any science fiction writer could ever come up with.

Ancient history. In '73 we got a call for an injury. We found a woman on a bed in a hotel room on her hands and knees with a large dildo stuck in her rear. Apparently her partner got too enthusiastic and inserted it too far and the anal ring closed. It was stuck and she could not walk nor move at all.
We covered her with a blanket, put her on a stretcher and removed her to a hospital where it had to be removed with surgery. You could still hear the thing buzzing from 10 feet away.
