It is FINALLY here. For those of you who do not know me, and a lucky lot you all are, I tend to show-up at gatherings and rallies talking about how I am very close to a career change. Well, after 6 or so years on this site, it is finally here. I am leaving the International Speedway Corporation (sort of like NASCAR) to join Tickets.com of Costa Mesa, CA. as their Director of Client Support for Major League Baseball. What does this mean? I will serve as kind of a client support representative between Tickets.com, their 13 MLB clients, and MLB Corporate HQ. The previous person in this position was very good, but it was just not a great fit. The position was revamped and made more of a senior position based around business, marketing, and operational skill. Being an older guy, I have all 3! Thus, I was contacted by a friend at MLB in NYC over the holidays, and here I am! The kicker is the position is a remote position, meaning that I do not have to move, at least, not initially, to Orange County, CA. Dwight, you may remember that thread. I can live anyplace, even Dahlonega!!!!!! In any event, this will take place later this month, and I will be riding before, during, and after. Sorry for the boring post, and I hope to see a bunch of you on the road this year! Ride Safe! Ryan

Congratulations Ryan! Hope it goes well for you. Got any remote openings for a tech-savy geezer? I'm getting a little tired of working away from home so much..

Congratulation. Again. I do remember events the next day. Or several days later. Both the news in this post and a certain bottle, conjure melodic Tupelo Honey chords...

Tom, I think I will be away from home, at least initially, quite a bit this next year. I am hoping that doesn't mess with any rallies. I OWE NH a visit, if Rob and Cathy will still have me. Quote:
