I just received my D tool from Brent and was trying to adjust my right carb but found that the flat (not round) electrical connection, that interferes with the D tool, would not slide off. The left carb connection came off easily though. Any ideas before I use excessive force and rip the wire...

Mine was the same way on the same side. Just ensure you only grip the plastic connector and work it side-to-side. It will come off and you won't have difficulty in the future.

I had the same concern my first time adjusting.

If wiggling alone doesn't get it, you can slip a small screwdriver between the edge of the connector and the carburettor and pry (prise) it gently while wiggling it.
