I'm sure that this wouldn't be allowed to go ahead in any other country.

People should be able to make a statement, that is a basic right according to our constitution, but this lacks any real purpose apart from disrespecting the families of those who have not only given their lives for their country but to help out another country in trouble.

I'm sure that some of the people on this site who know Wootton Bassett will agree that the people in that town have been fantastic when it comes to showing dignified respect to the fallen British soldiers who pass through their streets on their final journey home.

I just don't think they deserve to have their town turned into a hotbed of political conflict.

Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

Sunday morn coffee typing, chapter 3,167:

"More than 10,000 innocent men women and children are being slaughtered."

I don't believe there were too many soldiers in the twin towers that day. The whining doesn't make that go away for my ears.

I understand many Muslims have good reason not to like America and others for what has happened over the years with regard to playing all ends against the middle in the name of petroleum acquisition, but to have the desire to kill us all obviously isn't going to fly. If you pick a fight with a sleeping giant, don't b----- and moan when the hammer falls on your head.

I'd like the troops to go home safe & sound, but I have no clue what's really going on there.
I do know that if the middle east falls, the entire mechanized world is f'd. No question. I'm not talking about just motor vehicles either.

That's scenario is not of great concern to those who live in caves or under a tent.
