Hi Folks. Just thinking about when the bike comes out of storage, what prep it will need.

The bike is new (12 km on it), and the dealer lubed the chain and put in fuel stabilizer as part of the prep. After storing the bike for four months, should the chain be cleaned and relubed or just relubed, or just ride it?

The bike is stored in an insulated garage, and covered.

If it was lubed before storage, then it is lubed after storage.

I was thinking that the lube would dry out, but maybe I'm just trying to get too complicated for my own good I'm not used to chain drive, so this is a learning experience.

The lube shouldn't have evaporated away as most of them are oil based. If you want to give the chain a quick squirt with chain lube it won't hurt.....but you wouldn't do any harm by just jumping on and riding.

Just ride it and lube it again after a few thou.
