I am an all weather rider and the Triumph is my commuter to go back and forth to work, I don't own a car or truck. Last Monday I went to start her up to go to work. She started but died right away, we did this 3 times before I realized I had better find a different way to work. I looked over at my partners 1983 Honda Shadow and strapped my work stuff down on it. As always it fired right up and settled into a nice smooth idle. As I was mounting the Shadow to go I thought about how I had to have $2,500.00 worth of warrenty work done to the Triumph before I had her a year and how I had to tear apart the ignition switch and resolder the wires back on to the switch. Now I had to push the wires back into the fuse holder when I got home from work Monday. Back to the threat, as I was driving out the garage on the Shadow I looked back at the Triumph and said "One more ****** problem and I'm trading you in on a new Honda!"

Nothing wrong with Hondas. In fact almost everyone has one! You could be just like everyone else! JK

But the Honda is not a Triumph. You should be good to go now.
2008 BA, Ageon Blue, roadster shield, light bar. tach, big bags, square engine guard, short sissy with rack. All Triumph parts. No mods.

You should have heard what the Triumph said about you after you rode away on the Honda, it was pretty rude!

You should have tried to fire the Triumph up one more time right then, it's amazing what a heartfelt threat can do. Years ago, a friend threw a reluctant Maico (rhymes with break-o) off a hill because it quit and wouldn't start. When he realized how far it was home, he ran down and tried to start it. Fired on the first kick and ran fine after that.

Yea I know, but I think I heard the Honda say "See I told you so." I'm ok now, I was just venting as I do when I can't ride the Triumph for one reason or another.

When I was chasing the igniter around, and especially when the problem jumped from right cylinder to left, I was having some mighty lusty Honda / Kawi / Guzzi / BMW fantasies. Those 87 year old guys on the Gold Wings who jump off after 900 miles and say "Let's go rock climbing" were starting to get to me.
