TCB Systems

Anyone have experience with this? It appears to provide traction control in panic braking for $80.

Never heard of this, but the link was interesting. Maybe Faast Eddy could get a pair and sample them, and if he thinks they are worth it put them on his site. I would be interested to hear if anyone has tried these as our bikes can kind of lock up the front wheel under certain braking situations.

I've heard of add-on mechanical, i.e., non-electronic, anti-lock brake systems before but they always seem to have an air of snake oil about them.

I dunno 'bout that there contraption... just don't think I want to have their valve in between me and being able to stop my bike.

Yeah, my '39, '57 and '76 Harleys all had mechanical anti stop.... ah.... skid brake systems.

The Jensen FF made in the 70's had a 4 WD system originally designed for F1 racing and an anti skid system that were mechanical. The brake control was very interesting because it modulated the vacuum to the power brake booster instead of monkeying with the hydraulic system. If you really wanted to lock up the brakes for some reason, (like swinging the rear around in a tight turn) you could.
