I found these at a local store. I bought both flavors available and found them both to be more than acceptable. They are listed as European biscuits. Are they supposed to be like Jaffa cakes? If so are they repackaged Jaffa cakes, an equivalent, or a rippoff?

I suppose it was only a matter of time since BMW took over Rolls Royce.

My good friend and other brother, Gordie aka Celt, from north of the 49th sent me a package nearly two years ago. Amazing recuperative properties . But I never figured out if they were biscuits or cookies jh

Well John, word is that ALL "cookies" are known as "biscuits" in a "London hospital circa 1943"!!!!!!
(...and just for your information, ALL "cookies" are known as "cookies" in ANY hospital located in the Good Ol' U.S. of A., and in ANY time frame of your choice!!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Dwight,
Not to detract from the Jaffa theme, but the year was actually 1944, and kinda like this http://www.howtobearetronaut.com/2010/06/london-blackout-february-1944/
The citizenry was resolute & determined, the girls (& Jaffa Cakes) quite saucy.

That's quite the site you pointed to there, John on how to be a retronaut. Hopefully there are easier ways to become one than the path you ended up taking. Between then and now can you do a comparison on Jaffa Cakes... for example, are today's Cakes as 'saucy' as those of 1944?
Live to love, love to live.
