I love the name!!
I seem to recall, a few years back, Sam Adams came out with a high alcohol content, spirit measure, sipping type beer. Wonder if the stuff is carbonated?

That's pretty high octane stuff there Bill, and while I've managed to live past the Timothy Leary age of evolution I have yet to partake in the bounty of this latest offering from the Gods of today and beyond.
In the name of getting a buzz this stuff sounds like the bomb... but age and general apathy give license to an audience much younger than I. Viva la différence!!
Live to love, love to live.

What is the point of making a beer so strong that you have to drink it like a spirit? If you want something really strong then try methylated spirits or lighter fluid. I've never been one for the really strong ales - just as long as it has a good taste to it. If it tastes good and is strong then great!
Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

Beer is not about high alcohol content, it's about taste. I tried a Carlsburg 19% brew, tasted awful. If you want something strong, take a shot of whiskey and chase it with a beer that tastes good!

Coincidentally enough, here's an article about Sam Adams Utopia beer. It's 27% alcohol and US$150/bottle!!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091130/ap_on_bi_ge/us_extreme_beer
