i like the look of the new thunderbird clear indicator lenses with either a coloured bulb or reflector, with the america the orange ones stick out like a sore thumb,i wonder if the units are the same and the lenses would fit ours,

Not the same. The new T bird lights look to be a Kuryakyn silver bullet style or late model Harley style.

Clear lenses are available for our indicators
"classic spares " in pommy EBay has them
There Morris retro lenses i think or land rover

Clear lenses are available for our indicators




These are the ones he was talking about.

They only need the hole centres drilling a little and then they work with the stocl indicators

Yep, hated my punkin's , switched them out for the older Thunderbird signals, gave it more of a "retro-look" .... clear would have been nice, never thought of that though

The Lucas 760 clear lenses require hand fitting to get a decent mount to the stock signal housings.
