Anyone installed the Eyebrow classic tank badge on their bike? How do you like the look over the standard Speedie/america's badge???? Looking for something to dress up the bike.....

Hi Keith,
Rather than the eyebrow, I prefer the classic look of the Legends and recent Thunderbirds. I just like the 'double eyebrow' with checkerboard between.

Friend of mine did it and I was surprised at how good it looks. He's a member here (SRS) so if you ask him nicely he might put a pic up for you.

Got eyebrows off ebay several years ago. I think it adds a bit of nostalgia.

I've been eyeing the Bonneville tank badges lately. Something that might stand out and scream "TRIUMPH" a little more than the Heritage badges do, although I like the black infill on the Heritage letters.

For any of you "old timers" (just kidding) out there - which bikes came with which badges, back in the day? I presume the Bonneville badge is obvious, but which bikes had the eyebrow? Other than the TBirds and Legends, which others may have had that checkerboard double eyebrow, if any?

That does look good, do they go right on or are there modifications required?

When we got our Speedmaster, I swapped the badges from the 2 just to be different. Looks cool on both.

they look good. But i prefer the stock badge on my speedy. It just fits the "modernized triumph" look the bike has better IMO. But i wouldn't be bummed if forced to use the brow.

I bolted(Thorx) the eyebrows on a couple of months ago on a whim. I like the look, and seeing that strip of chrome running along the sides as you look down on the tank is pretty cool in my book.

Now....Keith, to answer your question..."Sonny"(and if I can still get the "old" grey matter workin' correctly....[note: to self...be sure to stock up on the Genkoba]) ....

The "mouth-organ"(said to resemble a harmonica) tank badge, which Dennis here prefers, were originally on the mid-50s to the 1965 model year Triumphs.

In 1966, Triumph went to the "eyebrow" badge, which looks similarly to the new badges that I put on my bike.

In 1968, I think it was, Triumph went to a slightly smaller and abbreviated version of the "eyebrow".

Cheers,
Dwight
