Well my wife came home the other day and said. "I have been offered a promotion in a great position with her company." Great I say is it up here(NQ)? No she says its in Newcastle!
But I say I joined the Airforce 20 years ago to get out of Newcastle.
Well she says time to go back!
Well this great job is good for her. I have no work so off we go to Newcastle.
Then......
She says to me, We will have to go house hunting, why don't you ride down and have a look and see what YOU like.
Oh OK I say in 1 second flat.
So here I am in the middle of nowhere with 2000 kms to go.
poured down rain all day, freezing cold, my wet weather gear and bags all leaked and I have to do it all again tomorow and the next day and the next day.
Heh heh heh heh.
Isn't she sweet.

Well anythings better than North Queensland...

Newcastle is not that bad, I've been getting up there a few times a year for the last 20 years and lots of changes (for the better) Be nice if you could live in Nelson Bay. Newcastle is not too far from The Hunter with good riding areas and good wine also not too far from Sydney.

I think he's talking Newcastle in Australia, although the Australian version is a mining, shipbuilding, dockyard and shipping port as well.

Uhhu....you mean that after the original Newcastle they built another .. well the only thing missing would be the nookie broons and the Geordie lassies ......

Well you ar all right. We used to order kegs of old for our parties. we are looking around Lake Macquarie. Only 20 minutes over the mountain to the vineyards. One thing about NQ is that house prices have sky rocketed.
I can sell my house up there and get on almost on the water front near the lake.
And yes Newcastle was named after the original one in England because it reminded them of it.
Well bucketed down all night. Just checked the weather website. One huge storm sitting just where I decided to stop. The 800 kms to Brisbane shouldn't be too bad.
Bikes going well.

Have a safe trip Feral. here in Bundaberg it's been very dry compared to elsewhere. We had a storm 2 days ago ago we got 16mm of rain, which is the most we have had for 6 months.
