Hey Gang!! A lot of people have suggested we make a cover for the black plastic idle adjustment knob. We've taken those suggestions and made this; A chrome plated idle adjust cover that really covers up an eye sore on the left side.

More info here; http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/chrome_idle_adjust_cover.html

Thanks to all who recommended we do this piece!!

Sigh.... when Xmas is over, and I finally know how many more classes my son will be taking at Wyotech, you will be getting an order or 2....

In the meantime, here's something to consider.... an adjustable luggage rack for the sissy bar. Or, a clamp-on extension of some sort, chrome and clean looking.

I am not a saddlebag fan. I have a Nelson-Riggs bag on my sissybar rack. Problem is, when it isn't stuffed full, it droops down and covers part of the license plate. An extended (just 2 inches or so) sissybar rack or clamp-on extension, would prevent that.

Put that on your list, buddy.....

Dang it Brent, now I have to add something else to Xmas order. Better send it before you come up with something else. And thanks for listening to our suggestions.

Grump,
I don’t like the look of saddlebags either. I’m gonna get a sissybar pack either like yours, "Nelson Rigg" or a “TBag”. Both brands offer similar features, but one is made from nylon and the other is polyester. My question is which fabric is better?

if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

Don, Ken,

Take a gander at these. BagTec - "The bags that don't sag" (?) - or so they say.

We were actually able to see these during our tour of Brent's shop during the Texas get together in Jefferson. The way these things attach to the knob is pretty clever.

Any word on whether or not ya'll are making the tribal solo finishers?

I am trying to retire in the next few years. I am sure you are too, but I am 52 now! I need a little space, time and money. Every time I thnk Vera is perfect, you release something else I gotta have.

Barry,

If I remember correctly, the Nelson-Riggs bag wasn't supposed to sag either. It has a cloth covered piece of cardboard or something that velcro's to the bottom, but the narrow and short sissybar rack makes it droop like an old lady's, er, well it droops....
A guy I work with has an old Suzuki and it has an adjustable sissybar rack with a big black ugly knob on each side that holds the sliding part in place. I don't know if the demand would be enough to make it worth Brent's consideration, but it sure would be nice to have a fix for this..... I may end up doing it myself, one of these days....

One of the guys I've ridden with in the past (the same HD mechanic that sells me tires), uses a chunk of plywood on his luggage rack to help support his duffle bag.

Classy. (It's the cheapest HD accessory ever, though it's not an "official" branding bit of HD kit.)

My next suggestion: a chromed linkage clamp for engine-end of the shifter rod. C'mon Brent...pretty please???
