Yes !!

I've received the bags this afternoon. I waited a month but they look great.

My vendor will fit them on tuesday (5th nov). I'll take some shots.

I'm so happy.

Thanks to newspeedmaster.com

Good deal. I'm waiting for some Triumph Hardbags I purchased off another rider as well. Can't wait for them to get here. They're already set with Easy Brackets. We'll have to compare photos.

Ok done !!!

Bags are fitted on the bike. They look great as you can see below :

Rear view :

I did not mount them myself , my vendor did it.

I have to say you that it was very hard to fit because mounting brackets were not well manufactured (sic) even if they still look great and I'm sure steel is a good one. But It seems that holes were not really at the right place , so he spend more than 4 hours to fit them.

I've another request :
I think the brackets are not sufficient because they just maintain the bag from the top. there is nothing below to carry them. In the next days, I'll ask another vendor to make another steel bracket that fit in place of the rear footpeg, pass below the bag, then up to the fender. This way, the bag will be fixed on the fender (should probably be consolidated), so it will not (or less) vibrate when riding, and I 'll be able to fill the bag with more weight.

I have to relocate rear footpegs because they are not usable easily now but that should be not so hard to do.

(I try to translate for you ... )

Another thing : I asked him to plug the light with the rear beam because it was not necessary to remove the turn signal and this way, the bike will be more visible from rear (3 light sources rather than one). So he has painted the light window in red because in France rear beam must be red.

I ordered at newspeedmaster. That would be great to order optional parts like red embeded turn signal (they came Amber) and bag guards. I think I've to order those at Tsukayu web site.

Anyway, I love these bags. They look great and will be usefull for sure.

I have the same bags with amber signals. I suggest that you periodically check the bag mounting bolts and the LED signal board mounting nuts, as they can loosen over time.

I put blue Locktite on the bag mount bolts and that helped. The LED fastners are really small & are located behind a velcro'd in bag liner.

Good luck with the bag.

Your English is better than my French!

Well, as I said, I think that they have to be carried at the bottom to avoid vibrations.

I'll put a pic as I'll made a "panier-like" braket.

Thanks all !

Are those the regular size or the extra large?

They do look to be wider than the early ones.

Frenchy...I have had my bags for two seasons now and have had no issues with the bag stability BUT if your vendor makes a good support please post pics. I would like to eliminate the movement as well.

The hardware provided to mount the bags is less than desireable. I used a series of large washers with rubber washers to help .... you can see here: Hard Bag install

Hi guys !
here are some improvements I ask to a friend of mine (HD specialist).

First I ask him to make a patch to reinforce Tsukayu's brackets.

It's 5mm aluminium.

Then I ask him to make another bracket that fit into the fender and comes at the bottom of the bag :

Center part (A) is fitted inside the fender , under the rear beam. Parts B and C are fitted at the bottom of the bags.

Both parts are connected to part A. This way, I can disassemble the bag in order to make some maintenance with the rear wheel

By now, it's black painted. I've to ride some KM, maybe to make adjustments. Then they will be powder coated.

Finally, bags are really reinforced. No more vibes. When you push one bag, you can feel that both bags and rear fender seems to make only one piece. Now , I can fill them in , I'm sure the weight will not be a problem anymore.

I'll take more closer shots soon...

Complete story is here (in french) :
http://www.triumph-america.com/article/M/20/renforts-pour-sacoches-rigides-tsukayu-strong-bags

That cost me a lot but I knew the rules and I'm happy now.

I did a similar (and of course, uglier) bracket underneath the rear fender just like that to support my huge Harley hardbags. Somewhat defeated the purpose of using Easybrackets, but oh well.

I did not want ugly parts to reinforce the bags, so I asked a specialist .... but that cost me an arm, a leg and so on ...

About $600 !!

Anyway, as I do not have tools, time, and envy to make that kind of pieces, I ask, He makes, I pay , I'm happy !
I know the rules ...

I am resurrecting this thread because I am also considering going with the Tsukaya Strong bags, and I came across a lower support bracket:

Huh. That looks better than the one we made for my HD bags, but mine was hidden under the rear fender.

What are you guys stuffing in your bags?!?! Lead bricks? I load mine up and stuff them and push crap down in them and I don't see a need for all the reinforcement. I know, better safe than sorry, but seriously, how much weight do you want them rated for?

Outstanding install. Without the bottom bracket, they will wobble. Gotta do a torch & twist bracket for mine.
When on a camping trip, I bet I put 30 or 40 lbs or more in each of mine.
My daily commute is similar. Gotta have my "stuff" - tools,
food, clothes, spare parts, gee gaws, whimmy diddles...

Those bags are awesome - plenty of room. I can fit a Shoei half helmet in mine with room to spare.

Word to the wise - I bought two of the lugage racks that mount on the bag lids from T-sookyaki - they are junk.
One was even rusty. You're better off getting a Harley rack off ebay.

Have you seen how big my ...um, bags, are?

In any case, the rear bracket is just to steady the bags and keep them from wobbling, putting undue stress on the easy bracket post bolts. The rear bracket on mine also saved me from losing the right bag back in 2005 or 2006 when it came off. It would've ended up in a river, never to be seen again.

I don't think that support will look as nice after a while with all kinds of stuff thrown at it.

Well, I was talking more about the tsukayu bags.... yours are rather large and could probably use the extra support, and easy brackets don't have any lower support at all, do they? What Thierry has done is very nice and a clean system, but it sounds like he more than doubled the original purchase price of an already expensive set of bags.

You asked about loads. Neither my support nor Thierry's add anything for weight capacity, nothing significant, anyway. It's about stability. I would say some extra stability/support is needed if you either get the larger version of the Tsukayu bags or if you mount either size of Tsukayu bag with EasyBrackets. The farther out you "hang" the load, the more it can "wobble" and the more stress on the bolts.

Of course the irony of needing a bolt-on support to stabilize EasyBracket-mounted bags is not lost on me. So much for "quick-disconnect." This is obviously not a problem for most Tsukayu bag owners.

1983 Harley Sport Glide bags. Grafted/extended Easybrackets into the backsides. No idea how many liters, but it's a lot. I have two ballistic nylon attaches that fit in the outer lid completely stuffed, with plenty of room to stuff stuff around them. Here is my old 4XL buffalo leather jacket sitting in one of the lids with plenty of room left for my 5XL buffalo leather chaps.
