Eash, I would have to loose 50lbs, 14 years, and break my left leg just to get into the fetal position required to ride that thing.

Hmmm.... 'Mass forward' = unintended 1 wheel stoppies and weird handling. High, flat rear fender pointing up = farting grasshopper look. Constipated frog seating position= chronic backache and leg cramps for me. (Even the OL's Lowrider causes me to have leg pain) They mentioned something pointing pointing backwards. Think I'll pass, this is a bike for kids.

It's a fairly standard riding position, fairly upright, legs slightly rearward, I test rode a harley XR 1200, was uncomfortable at first, then lived it, not all of us want to ride around in a reclined position all the tine, I do love the forwards on my speedy and fatbob, but also want a bike with a more agressive riding position!

YEAH, GB! And it ain't got no kickstarter on it EITHER, huh???!!!
Don't worry Mark. While I'm not all that crazy about the sharp-edged stying cues on that baby, it does look like one fun bike to ride, alright! And you're right about the standard riding position on it being pretty comfortable.
(yep...to get an idea about the rationality of a stardard riding position, just look at Lonzo's lament in his current thread in the Lounge about his back problems which were most likely acerbated by the feet-forward riding position of our bikes)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Man I grew up in the woods with a small amount of Native American influence in the bloodline but I don't hold a candle to your observation of nature.
I've never heard a grasshopper fart, nor have I heard a frog complain of constipation!

Like that OTHER fun activity, I like ALL the different positions. Fairly upright, legs slightly rearward, I ain't gonna complain about the more aggressive positions. (I ain't THAT DA-M OLD)
And you may see me tonight

Having both forward controls on the America and standards on the Bonnie, I like both. I tend to like the forwards for straight out cruising and the mids for the twistier roads.

I almost bought the previous Z1000 before I picked up my tiger. The deciding factor for me was I've already got one toy bike (the Speedy) and so my second should be more practical.
The Z is super comfy, crazy fun and a looker, (I prefer the previous gen's looks) and a great commuter, but no wind protection and tougher on bags, so Tiger it was.
Go ride that thing, though. It'll be a blast for sure and you wont see as many of those around as you would with a speed trip.

It got my attention in this month's Rider magazine and I'd really like to see one up close. Not that I need another bike but I do love to "window shop" machines...

looks "buellish"...but in a good way. The exhaust looks a little over-engineered but all in all its decent for a sportbike. I always hated kawasakis though

A friend of mine is really into horses and just now becoming interested in motorcycles. He compares motorcycle riding positions to saddles. A lot of sportbikes are like jockey saddles, good for going real fast for a little while. Some are like English saddles, good for longer periods. And some are like Western saddles, once you're used to it you can ride for days. Personally I don't much like horses, I've had them bite me and step on my feet, but I don't mind the comparison to the old cowboys.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
