Most standard 18mm sockets do not fit. Sears has an 18mm spark plug socket that fits due to the thin wall of the socket.

I just found through trial and error that its an 18mm.I risked the use of a std deep well 19mm because thats what I had.it was a pain.I wanted to check to see if i was lean or not and I couldnt wait.Sears sells them ,ok then, thanks.

I went to our local auto parts shop and bought a Sidchrome long series 18mm socket. Fit perfect

Can I ask a "STUPID" question????? I have the 09 F.I.. I seem to have plumming in my way to reach the plug... Please tell me with the sears 18mm socket I "DID" buy will fit without removing the extra plumming... V.

I don't think Sears has that thin walled socket anymore...unless you find a leftover one.
If you can find a pressed steel box spanner, that would be better. Don't go for a quality forged steel one as it'll be too thick.
