I'm curious what your opinions are about these two air filters.. My '07 America has a K&N filter in it, but I've seen some posts and threads mentioning use of the Uni...
Is there a benefit/disadvantage to the K&N as far as air flow or filtering is concerned, or do both do a pretty go job over the stock air filter? Just curious.

in our oem configuration, unis were around way before K&N's. Brand name is the major difference.

I would think both would offer the same advantage over stock paper. I replaced my stock with a UNI soon after buying the bike when I installed new pipes and re-jetted. The UNI is very easy to clean and re-oil. Once a year I remove, clean with the UNI spray foam cleaner, dry and re-oil (lightly).
Not only do you get better performance, it will pay for itself over time.

Thanks.. I'll leave the K&N then. I've got a Polaris inlet to replace the stock snorkle and already removed the AI... A little stock pipe debaffling and a jettting are in order next I guess...
Maybe some airbox stuff later... but I'm less interested in that right now.
It's coming along nicely! ;-))
