Uh-oh... Problems with FF???
I'm only about 100 miles from there, but it'd be tough for me to get down that way right now...

Having some trouble contacting him. I don't want to jump to any unfair or wrongful conclusions until I can contact him. There maybe circumstances involved that are beyond his control.

I think that may be the case, I heard he's got some health issues right now that may have him really behind on work, or maybe unable to work at all. I called him this morning and sent him a text, I'll let you know if he replies...

I received a very pleasant note from Freds wife today. Fred is definitely experiencing some health issues and will be laid up for awhile. The Hethers have hired some experienced extra help to deal with the work backlog. They are trying to follow thru with thier customer commitments but it will just take a little time (approx 1 month) to get caught up. They are doing their best and I can't ask for anymore than that. I hope Fred gets well soon, he has a lot of engine savy, not to mention a great guy to BS with.

Last time I talked to Fred, he was telling me about some of the "help" he hired from MMI. What a couple of morons! You would think that going to a mechanical institute would give you some sort of idea what should be going on. There should be no excuse as to why someone would rebuild a motor and not put a head gasket on . Anyway, he's having trouble finding good help, on top of his other issues.

I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best. My parts have been with Fred for a long long time so hopefully the fine machine and grinder work has already been completed, I can deal with correcting assembly problems.
