This is from the Southern California Norton site & Los Angeles Craigslist, looks like it might be fun!
So who is going, I am in the West San Fernando Valley.
Join us for the 30th annual All Brit Bike Ride on Sunday November 1. Aka "The Best Ride by a ****** Site.) Meet at Hansen ****** - 210 Fwy at Osborne and then south on Osborne to the Dronfield St. entrance. Meet at 8am. Ride leaves at 10. Free ride pins for British mounted riders (including Hinckley Triumphs) which complete the ride and return to the park for the show. Awards for British bikes in six categories. Cycle World calls this event "one of the biggest classic bike happenings in the country." See socalnorton.com or call 626 791-0259.

I used to go on these rides when I lived in California. The pins are the best!
I would be unstoppable if not for law enforcement and physics.

Yep German. I never miss it. Been goin' on this ride every year since '95. In fact, after the ride to Acton and back to the Hansen d*m parking lot, some folks enter their bikes in the show afterwards, and I won the Best Custom trophy with my 1970 Triumph Street-Tracker back in 1998. Yep, as they say, it IS "The best ride by a d*m site" alright, AND as a matter of FACT, in ALL of Southern California TOO!!! Hope I see ya there!!! (geeez...ya know I never noticed this before, BUT evidently whoever programed the word filter at BA.com doesn't know the difference between the noun "d*m" and the verb "d*mn"...go figure, huh?!) (...saaaay....or MAYBE they were just tryin' to "protect" our "tender sensibilities" from some of the folks around here who DON'T KNOW how to friggin' SPELL worth a d*mn, and may ALSO have a little problem with cursin' now and then TOO, huh?!) (...though the word "friggin'" seems to be okay somehow?!...go figure AGAIN, HUH???!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Hey Dwight, so which Triumph are you's riden this year? I'm still working on riding over to the d*m this year. We already have plans for Yorba Linda, Saturday night for Halloween. At this point I'm working on an excuse for getting up early Sunday and heading over for the ride. With any luck I may see ya there. Bob

I was thinking of ridin' the BA this year Bob, however for almost a month now I've had the rear fender off it and have cut the wires to the taillight and turn signals so I can fit the other rear fender I bought from Friar John a while back and which I bobbed and will fit a Lucas style taillight on.
My painter said he'd have it all done for me over a week and a half ago, but I haven't been able to get a hold of him since that time???!!! And so, I might take the Street-Tracker instead.
Hope to see ya there.

If I can get a front fender by then I'll go, but it's not looking too hopeful at this point

Sounds great Dwight, Well, I have both TBAs loaded into the toy hauler and we're planning to head out tomorrow for Edwards AFB. Our son is stationed there, then on to Yorba Linda for a costume Halloween party, at the brother-n-laws place. While there I hope to make a short run over to Cook's Corner on Saturday. So unless things go south I/We should make it over to the Best Ride By a D*m Site. Bob and AmyLee

Here's a few pix for ya, Cindy.... Jay Leno's very rare series-1 Vincent... And the man himself... A 1926(I think) Triumph... And a close-up of the tank insignia on it... Here's Bob[HabuBA] standin' next to my bike out on the ride, but somehow I didn't get a shot of his lovely wife AmyLee???... And...Yours Truly... (BTW...I took a total of 40 pix, and tomorrow I'll put 'em all on a Photobucket link for anyone interested in seeing some really cool old motorcycles of all brands that were there this past sunday)

Hi Dwight, Here are a couple of pictures that Bob and I took on the ride. If you want to check out all that I posted on my photobucket page here is the link. http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l239/amylee50/2009%20Dam%20Ride/There now, a picture of me with you and your bike. This one was taken after the bee got you. Of course I had to put one in of my bike, and Bobs too.
