Man what a crappy year this has been for me. I had major surgery back in July and then I just had more surgery on my back after being totally laid up for the past 3 months. I cannot even drive a car let alone dare to straddle the beast. Yumpin Jesus H Cristo this just plain sux big time. Not a single rally this year, even the one 30 miles away. I only put about 200 miles on the entire year and with winter approaching and Dr's directions, I am done until spring at least.
Ok, sorry to rant on about stupid personal BS, but I just wanted to check in as I have been absent awhile.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, just get well. Besides with this crazy weather we're all having you'll probably be snowed in till May. Try to look for a silver lining, you're drinkin arm is OK, right?

+1.

When my back's been bad, the first thing when it's better is put the battery on charge.... the roads will wait

Good to here from you Pat.I had no idea you were having problems. Hope you get well soon. I'm sitting here licking a wound myself. I had hernia surgery Thursday morning, it's been a blast...not!

Shoot Pat, That's hardly a rant, I've been p'ssing & moaning on this board since July. I hope to be cleared for driving this week. Every little errand has required a chaperon since then. It gets frustrating

Patience man, good fortune for you

Hey Pat:

Here's to a speedy recovery, I feel your pain! 2 months after I bought my TBA I too had to have back surgery and that killed the first summer with it. We'll keep you in our prayers for a full recovery.

Don't flatter yourself. You didn't have a coherent thought, much less a computer, until August.

Here'e to you Pat for a "speedy" recovery. I guess you can still keep us up to speed with your tips and tricks. Yours are the best. Take care and give it time. I know exactly how back ills can be.

Here's to spring, Pat, and getting better. Ever since that beautiful ride and midwest ralley this spring, everybodies health here has taken a nose dive also. In fact, the wife is in the hospital as I speak. It'll be better in the spring!

To Pat and everyone else suffering with body problems, please remind yourselves that this too shall pass. If there's one thing we can count on... it's change (no I don't mean go count your change, I mean the other kinda change).

Get well everyone!!

Sorry to hear that. My shoulder was fractured back in June, cost me a couple months of riding....but not nearly what a back issue can do. All the best to you, hope your recovery accelerates faster than...well, a Triumph twin with a properly installed big bore kit...and flat slides...and over-sized valves...and...well, you get the idea...

Dang Pat, you have to schedule these kind of surgeries in the middle of that long, cold, NY winter - not in July!
Good news is you should be healed by Spring - right?

Thanks Al and all for the good wishes. Wish I coulda waited till winter but I was totally incapacitated and on disability so it had to be done NOW. Besides, it friggin hurt so bad, I never realized that much pain anytime in my life, and I never want to again.
Cheers to all! As soon as the vicodin runs out, then it will be liquid medication. haven't had much brewski either, makes me sick on the dope.
Thanks again guys, and gals!

Funny , Pat, that is Wendy's thoughts too, she wants to have it done over winter to avoid missing riding season.
