Just happened to drop in to the Triumph dealership on the way home the other night & low & behold, the new Thunderbirds were there in the flesh. Having seen them on the net i clearly stated i didn't like the look of them, but seeing one in the flesh completely changed my mind! Admittedly the ones in the shop were accessorised but my god they looked awesome. I still love the look of my Speedmaster so decided i had better take the Thunderbird for a spin just to see how it handled. Now this is were the problem begins, i've fallen in love! What a bike, i loved the power & handling. This bike has some serious grunt & was so smooth! Plus all those accessories!! For the first time i've found a bike that i think i like better than the Speedmaster!

That's cool Ade. If you do a lot of long distance riding, I can sure see you liking the T-Bird, alright! I too have taken it for a test ride, and yep, I also found it a very fine motorcycle in many respects.

(but just one thing here dude...they don't like it much around here when ya park a T-Bird inside this here Lounge...so don't freak out if when ya come back out of this bar's men's room and ya don't see your T-Bird sittin' where you left it here...it'll most likely be in that there "Other Bike" impound lot a little down the road from here, ol' buddy!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

+1.
lately ive been admiring (from afar, both the TBird and the RIII T)and up to now have resisted the urge to test ride either. with 2 Triumph stealers within 1/2 hour ride of me ,that urge is pretty strong.

Test rode a handling improved (07? 08?) late model Rocket at the NH Rally.
That was a big enough "iwanna" mistake for a bloke with $0 disposable income.

Must - not - ride - the - T - Bird
