Photos of SM with El Cheepo carrier.
I had to post a new thread as I kept getting messages out "Form no Longer Valid" !!
Hi all,
Some notes on fabricating an El Cheepo carrier:
1) The 3 bolts that hold the rear fender to the long chrome brackets (on ech side of the fender) ARE 3 DIFFERENT SIZES/LENGTHS. Be sure to measure/mark them accordingly.
2) I replaced the standard bolts with button head s/s cap screws. Make sure that the replacement bolts DO NOT EXTEND TOO FAR to the INSIDE of the femder. They may catch on the tire. Cut the bolts down to fit. (Measure twice - Cut Once!)
I hope these photo links work!

NOW I see why I've liked this rack since I first saw it on that other thread of yours, Murray!!!

It's..."STEALTHY"!!! As in...it somewhat disappears from view(as compared to the other racks out there) and YET it appears to be fully functional!!!

(yep...NICE JOB there, dude!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
