Hey John, I found mine. It's just in front of the chrome plated dingle sprocket. Yours might be somewhere else because you ride on the other side of the road.

Seriously, if you get into your bike deep enough to find the tank, it's gonna be good preventive maintenence to service the "hidden" muffler bearings.

Now are you talking about the oil tank or the muffler bearings there, Stewe??? Cause if you took out your muffler bearings(ON STOCK MUFFLERS ONLY) and sold those on ebay, you could freeze up the sewing machine hidden in the gonk shaft!!! Hope you didn't sell those bearings.

Hey fellas...now LEAVE that seller alone here!!! He's most likely just confused a little bit, THAT'S all!!! Ya see, that piece there just HAS to be for one of them there "REAL Triumphs"! You KNOW! One of them there "Real Triumphs" that has a separate oil tank...AND a kickstarter...AND a set of those finicky Amal carburetors...AND a 360-crank...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, a wiring system designed EXCLUSIVELY by "The Prince of Darkness" HIMSELF!!! (wwwwhy...just ask a few of those folks who've been around "a while"...THEY'LL tell ya!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

OH, and I ALMOST forgot...them there "REAL Triumphs" ALSO have a set of them there CONTACT BREAKER POINTS designed by that "Prince of Darkness" character instead of all this here new fangled electronic ignition system stuff! (sorry, I guess I done forgot to mention that earlier!)

TIGER Oil of course there, Wade!!!
Hmmm, I wonder how many tigers you have to crush to get a quart of tiger oil? What's the typical oil yield per tiger?

BTW Cindy, I should add that my "one-kick" 1970 Bonnie has a TR6C single-carb head with a Mikuni on it, AND that it also has a Boyer Bransden electron ignition system where those points used to be.
(...hence my ribbing of the old "purists" and "traditionalists" amongst us here)

Actually Dwight, I was a purist with my '68. There was a lot I wanted to do for convenience, comfort and style - but, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Hence, the sale to a collector. I kept that bike longer than I kept my ex-husband!

I could never work out why my old 1954 Tiger 110 used to leak more oil than I ever put in it. (Seemed that way )
