Hi Guys Just had a phone call which is making me think hard about Chroming bits on the bike (besides the cost). This phone call consists of a company in Yorkshire which GOLD plate yep 24k. Now I am thinking what would it cost to change all the chrome on the bike to GOLD, and what would it look like, surely someone on here has already thought about doing this? I somehow do not think the Mrs will like this new idea though?

Wow 24K gold. But how will you get those big pimp shoes under the shifter? Plus keep your fly hat on your head?

Have no fear the Mrs is here, and she says not a chance!

I am in the prosess of (pimping my ride at the mo) i was looking into gold plating kits but they can be expensive and depending on how much plating you do i could be cheeper than getting it plated. I,ve just got onto this product called colour chrome, bought the kit just yesterday but probly won't do it till i get my chrissy break. i have been looking at doing this for quite some time and hope i'm doing the right thing cos if it don't work how i picture it, it might look like shite

Personally I don’t think this would be an option that I would even consider. Besides the fact it would most probably be stolen piece by piece here I don’t think it would look that good.

Some nice pictures of the bike Roadwasher, Swimming pool look really nice. The UK is way to cold to have one of those in the back yard, my mrs would love one as she swims a lot...

Roadwasher, I don't mean to derail this thread, but what make and model of camera (assuming digital) are you using? The picture quality in your gallery is amazing. Way better than my old Olympus 3.3 megapixel at work. (you could use a little more zoom on some of those beach pictures, tho')

John I think it depends on the actual lens, I use a Kodak 4 MP, but I would say the camera is rubbish, half descent if if it is daylight. At night it is not worth taking photo's with it...
