Hi Everyone.... this is my first post here so please go easy on me. Been looking at changing my risers on my America for some 4" High pullbacks. Couple of questions.... I've been led to believe that thats the max I can go with stock cables etc, can anybody confirm this for me. Seen lots of reasonably priced ones on Ebay.... any good? Also seen lots of harley ones for 1" bars, but what about the top yoke/tree bolt size. Also had a look at the risers they make for the new T Bird when I was in my local dealership but they are rubber mounted and their mechanics could not confirm compatibility. Hoping someone can give me a few pointers.

The only info I really got for ya is if you want to use harley risers you'll have to drill the holes in your yoke bigger. I was going to do this with my speedmaster but I just bought a set of America risers to try first. About all I know, sorry I'm not of more help.

This is not true, you can buy adapters to go from the 1/2 riser thread to the Triumph top tree 10mm holes and avoid drilling and use the HD riser and bolt it right on.
The risers pictured are HD after market with the 1/2" thread, the trees are not drilled. Here is a set of the riser bolt adapters but there are other less expensive ones out there. Just found these first. adapters

Some time ago I put harley deuce risers on when there weren't any adaptors and I just drilled the tree. Call it what you want but it took 5 minutes and no extra cost. I've since replaced back to to SM originals after putting on a 2nd hand set of TBA bars and then finally, put another pr of risers on for my perfect posture set up.
All in all it didn't make a difference to anything and it drilled through like butter. Now that we have the adaptors you have a choice but for for me it's wasn't a big deal - Purists excepted.

Think I'm coming round to the thought of drilling my yoke.... not having any luck finding any risers with 10mm bolts.
Does anyone know the max height I can go without having to change any cabling etc? I heard 4" was max somewhere?
Much more choice if I can look at harley/style risers.
Reckon someone should make more off the shelf goodies for the America/speedmaster.... not liking Triumph's prices.

With my SM, I put on Deuce risers which are similar pullback to the pics and I got away with using the SM bars and the original cables by re-routing the throttle cables to the right side of the frame.
If you want to use TBA bars you will need TBA cables though.

If you read my post above, you don't need to drill there are adapters to go from 1/2 to 10mm so you can use a riser with the 1/2" 13 thread and not drill your tree.
Here is the link again. CLICK HERE There are some cheaper but this was the first ones I found.

I have an 07 BA - I believe we put on 2.5 inch risers we bought at the dealership. Had a little problem with the throttle cable being too tight - had to reroute it a bit to keep it from pulling too tight and reving the engine.

I have 4 1/2" risers with 1 1/2" pull back and BA bars. I had to use BA cables and brake line. I also had to route the throttle to the right side of the frame.
