First couple of days, we were concerned because her speech was slow and slurred, but that has cleared up. She is recovering well, but (as expected) she is having random headaches and dizziness. Looks like it's going to be a chore for her to stay inactive for the next 6 months.

Nice to hear. I hope the recovery is full and speedy. Keeping some people in a subdued state for 6 months would be a full time job. Don't rush the healing, I know at my age it takes longer and longer....
later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

So that aneurysm is all taken care of I'm guessing but maybe still some trouble with the sinuses (headaches, dizziness)? Glad to hear the news is positive Ed and that things are working out for the best.

Sounds like it is all moving in the right direction. Good luck.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

It can be a fine line between impatience & allowing your body the time to right itself. "Tempered motivation", encouragment goes a long way, good luck to the both of you

Come on GB, I KNOW you have to have a length of rope SOMEWHERE in that compound o' yours there in Clovis...RIGHT???!!!
(BTW...I was glad to hear they found that problem early...and I've got my fingers crossed for her back here in your old stompin' grounds too!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

The procedure they used is very invasive. The smaller ones were baloon shaped, so they filled them with with platinum fibers. the largest one had too large an opening and the fibers could fall out, so they put in a stint first, then filled the aneurism through the mesh. At this point, the body sees this as a forign material invasion, sets off an alarm and the white blood cells try to eat or dissolve it. When that doesn't work, the fibers are "neutralized" by surrounding them with calcium and scar tissue. While all this is going on, the body tries all kinds of ways to rid itself of the invaders, with headaches and dizziness as a side effect. Rope doesn't help, she just gnaws through it...
