Hi, I found a dodgy old carrier from a UJM in my garage. Did some quick hack, slash and burn. Powder coating covered most of the bad welding. It fits well, and is very strong.

Hi All,
Thank you for your positive feedback.
Actually, I am the "El Cheepo" part of the project. The weak value of our currency (South Africa) makes a lot of the "nice to have" stuff in the Triumph catalogs too expensive, so you work with what you can lay your hands on.

Nice work, looks effective, and from what I can see the lines suit the shape of the bike, and the black matches the blacked out speedy. Well done... and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few speedy owners copying your idea.

Oh, and welcome to the site.

Can you take a pic of the whole bike with the carrier in place?

Nice job.

Do you know what model bike that came off? Good match to the Triumph bike lines.

Hi,
The carrier came off a Suzuki A100 (100cc 2-stroke single).
I am sure your local bike scrapyard will have same style avilable.

Great work, don't sell yourself short with "cheapo" - it's a quality job! Keep it up and look forward to more posts.
