DO MEN REMEMBER ANNIVERSARIES?

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed.
She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him.

She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him.
He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.

She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.
'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room.
'Why are you down here at this time of night?'

The husband looks up from his coffee, 'I am just remembering when we first met
20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?' he says solemnly.

The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.

'Yes, I do' she replies. The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily.
'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?'

'Yes, I remember!' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.
The husband continues. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my
face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'

'I remember that too' she replies softly.

He wipes another tear from his cheek and says... 'I would have been released today.'

Live to love, love to live.

My anniversary is easy to remember, it's May 1st. I remember like it was yesterday. The weather forecast wasn't too promising, so we went in the Plymouth Trailduster. When we arrived at the wedding chapple, I grabbed the CB mic and shouted, "MAYDAY - MAYDAY! WE'RE GOING IN!"
That was over 20 years ago.

I lucked out this year. Last weekend, I remembered the 30th anniversary of our first date and brought home flowers. This year, she forgot! Strong kudo's & brownie points that weekend!

I can never remember if Sherri's birthday is the 30th or 31st of July. It's only been 2 years, though. Thank Zod for Facebook. It remembers for me.

I used to have a heck of a time remembering if it was June 28th or 29th. Now that I've got it pinned down (it's the 28th), she's gone.

Obvious: slept in the dog house, hence the name...

The easiest one to remember was the pothead. I kid you not, her bday is 4/20. Soooo easy. Too bad that one didn't last (but I don't partake in the herb so it was doomed from the start).

My buddy got married at Sturgis so he always remembers at least the week...

My Mom always used to sit down with new calendars and go through the year writing down everybody's birthdays and anniversaries. She called it the "Spare Memory". I do that with the calendar on my cell. Preventative maintenance.
