Has any one made baffles for a totally gutted exhaust(brand new slash cuts).

I know it sounds like a double negitive or oxy moron,,,,but a totally gutted exhaust is "staight pipe loud" and kinda harsh.

I want to cut 1 1/2" holes through all baffles leaving the two offset baffles intact(7/8" ID plus 1 1/2" ID i add).

The end baffle i would like to replace with a home made 1 1/2" diameter by 10" long drilled and sliced baffle that would slow down the "straight through" and kinda mix it up a little,,,slow it down,,,,and maybe deep'en it up.

Anyone done it?

cataylitic concerter will still be intact,,,no touch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,for now

would use self-tapping screws in the 3/4" perimiter to hold home-made baffle in place(3" OD minus 1 1/2" ID = 3/4" Perimeter)

Thank,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Les

Oh ya,,,,What'd ya do,,,What'd it look like,,,,,,,

I've just noticed that the "entrance"(imediately after headers) of the exhaust has a reducer,,,,,header is about 1 1/2",,,,exhaust is reduced to ABOUT 1",,,,3 inches later is the CAT CONVERTER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Has anyone removed the "begining" of this?,,,,,,

Everyone has talked(typed) about gutting(debaffling),,,,,have they done the whole nine yards,,,end to end,,,with an inch and a half hole throughout?

Has anyone removed the CAT(0" to 8"),,,,,,,what does that sound like?????

That reducer at the header end should be left in to provide some back pressure. With that removed you will lose some bottom end torque.
