Has anyone fitted a center stand to their bikes? If so, where did you get it from and would you recommend one. I'm thinking it would make cleaning and lubing the chain easier.

Yep Doug. A few folks around here have 'em bolted to their bikes, and from what I hear they like the convenience they afford for those very tasks you mentioned above.

And here's where you can get one...

Stupid question but can you still use your kick stand if you install a center stand?

Though one o' these days I'd like to have one on my bike(cheap b*stard here, you see), I can't imagine it being all that hard to bolt on, Troy.

Seems all there'd be to do is to slip it into place under the bike, bolt it on at the upper two points, and then do the ol' "slip-a-few-coins-between-the-length-of-the-spring" method in order to extend the length of the return spring so's you can connect each end of that spring to where it's supposed to go, and....VIOLA!!! You should then have yourself a nice center stand on your Triumph.

If I'm wrong here, I'm sure somebody who does have one will correct me.

OH!!! And be sure to remove those coins in the spring after you're done!!!

(....and then send 'em TO ME so's I can buy one o' these nifty center stands TOO!!!)

Got one last year. (and I'm also a cheap bas***d, just not as cheap as Dwight!) I have the Rivco stand. I really like it, for all the obvious reasons. Install was a little difficult, but not hard for someone with tool experience. I did have to do a little grinding on part of it, to make it work really well, but your bike might be different. I recommend it.

I added the Rivco center stand to my bike about two weeks after buying the bike. It was a fairly easy install (much easier than the install on my Valkyrie!), about 90 minutes. I found it easier to install using a center jack so that I could get under the bike from either side and see what was needed. And yes, you can still use the side stand after installing the center stand. I find the center stand very handy, both for maintenance and when parking the bike on rides. You can't always find the idea place to use your side stand.

I would think (and probably be wrong, but Ill try anyway) that the big honkin bar where you push down with yer foot would be prone to touch down goin round a hard left. Is that an issue, or not? Keep in mind, I'm referring this to the people that routinely scrape peg. (Seems even aftermarket R1 pegs aren't even short enough, but the tire runs out about the same time I really get on the pegs now.. lol.)
