Ok so the rubber piece of crap speedometer cable holder broke. Any ideas where I can get a decent one, cheap about $20.00. So far I have a metal tube with a zip tie going through it. Not pretty but works.

So who has made one, show me what you got.

I think Triumph had a bad run of those for awhile. My first one didn't last a year but a warranty replacement has been fine for almost 4 years.

If you want to go a fancier route, get the chrome or black one from Brent's site, here's a link:

So if you replace the rubber loop, then you have to disconnect the cable, right? How hard is that to do? Anything to it?

Sorry to highjack this thread but does anyone know where the chrome trim piece was bought/made that is attached to the back of the fender in the picture above?

BTW, I have the chrome speedo holder from Brent and it is a big improvement. Looks classy also.

You can make a really nice inexpensive one from a small stainless clevice available for boats. I saw one done on here, may make one eventually for mine.

I used a "P" shaped cable clamp from Lowes. It's metal lined with rubber and it looks identical to the arrangement I've seen on some other brands of bike!

+1 Bill Looks good and never breaks or rust. Cost a few bucks at any Lowes or Home Depot.

Mine is about 2 years old now.

That's a prototype front fender bib we did a good while ago. We decided not to pursue the project because we figured too few people would want to drill holes in their fender. Thanks for the interest, though!

Thanks brent for the response. You're probably right about drilling holes but what about very thin double sided tape? That bib looks very interesting.

Do you have any other pics of the fender with it on? Any still available on the shelves?

That's certainly a possibility. It'd probably still damage the fender, though, don't you think? Here's a "not so good" photo that might give you a better idea. That and a diamond plate design were the only ones we ever did. Sorry.

Brent, I use some stuff from 3M. Its called VHB and sticks like cement but comes off clean. A long strip of that would hold it on real good.

Go easy tightening that phillips screw holding the cable to the wheel mount, they break easy.
+1 on Brent's mount, that thing is like a piece of jewelry.
