Being old and forgetful I decided to fit a Kisan Signalminder to my Speedmaster. Replaced the indicator unit with the new unit and connected the red wire (Per instructions)to the brake wire. Indicators work fine, self cancel at the time I selected, no problem. I then decided to connect the other 2 wires (1 black, 1 white) to the turn signal wires. This is supposed to allow me to replace the springs in the indicator switch so that it will return to the middle without the need to press the button. Before attacking the switch I decided to give it a try to check my work so far. When I turned on the ignition the left indicators (front & rear) came on, not blinking just a steady glow. I tried altering the DIP switches but no luck. Has anybody else had problems wiring this unit.

I have the Kisan on my America with all options working. Once you tap into your turn signal wires and turn on the ignition key all signal lights will light up as running lights. When you hit the brake those same lights will flash 4 times and remain bright until you release the brake. If you are only having the left light up then you didn't tap the proper wire for the right. Wayne
Black 07 America, Bags, Corbin Seats, Shield, Datatool Alarm, Sissy & Carrier, Engine Guards and Cruise Pegs. AI Removed. Progressive 412HDs & Intiminators. Misc upgrades.

I will check all my connections later. I did check them after I installed the unit. Do you know where you have your DIP switches set?

Where did you tag the wires? Under the seat?

Im pretty sure you got the wrong wires. The wires change color depending on what side of the plug your on. The only palce your wires are black or white is close to the signals. Inside the headlight bucket the wires are green/???
According to the wire diagram the wires should be: Green/white for right Green/red for left
Heres a link to the wire schematic in a very large size so you can see the colors better. Schematic

When I mentioned black & white I meant the wires from the new unit. I connected them to the wires on the diagramme. It's my afternoon job for today to check out all the connections. I will keep you posted.

Problem Solved. Disconected new unit and checked the connections were to the correct wires. All OK Set DIP switches to correct setting. Connected unit back up again and everything worked. All I can figure is that the plug in connector on the right side wasn't making a good enough contact. Thanks for the suggestions & info. guys.

I just have my wife ride behind me and she comes up next to me and tells me when my signal is still on. She helps me find my boots, too.
