Anyone who rides our bike is used to people coming up them and admiring them even if they are among other bikes but I had a unique experience the other day.
Stopped at a light and guy in a big noisy diesel work pickup pulled up next to me and jumped out of his truck and walked over to me. He looked like the true blue outlaw rider in his overalls, bushy beard, scar on his fore head and blue bandanna on his head. He was hollering something but I couldn't hear because of his truck and my Nolan flip helmet but he was frowning and I was about a second away from taking my chance in the cross traffic because he looked like he was ready to open a can of whoop ****** and then I made out the words something about '...beautiful bike..' So I raised my helmet and he said again "That is the best looking bike I've seen in a long time. Where can you buy them around here?" I told him the dealers name and where it was and he patted my shoulder and got back in his pickup. We rode off when the light changed and I could see him hanging back watching my bike. the moral of this story is: Never rob a bike on an BA or BS because EVERYONE will notice it.
Same day I saw my first Thunderbird in the wild-pretty good sound.
