So I picked up a set of 12" ape hangers for a 82 up harley and put them on my america. worked pretty well. had to re-work some wiring and move the cables, but they fit. I think I should get longer cables (especially since I now think I may want bigger bars) and believe the wiring could fit in the bars at this size. If anyone was wondering, it can be done with the stock cables. The throttle is a little tight at a full left turn, but otherwise nice. At 6'4", these bars fit waaaaay better.

I'll never be 6'4" to appreciate them, but I'll say that they look pretty good. Oh, and I'll add that I think they would look better with longer cables. The ones you have put me in mind of a sling shot.

Yeah mountainman I stopped short at 5'9" it stinks that the rest of my family is above 6' but unless I get stretched on the rack I'm stuck.

With mountainman's displeasure of me being on this forum without owning an America or Speedmaster last night I wasn't sure.
For a moment I started to feel like a pariah.

They look great. Relocate the turn signals, get new mirrors and cables,IMHO.

yeah, there's no way to adjust the turn signals, but at least now airplanes know which way I'm turning. And the mirrors are HUGE!

They look good with the exception of those turn signals. They're easy to move, get them down below.
