That ain't no Indian. The motor was built by a guy in Kent WA that's been building motors out of old Indian castings and calling them V-Plus motors. How do I know?....

....some other time and many beers.

The rest of the bike is just another aftermarket hardtail frame with a springer front end on it.

I will defer to you knowledge. I don't know much about Indians.
It is for sale at Perewitz Cycles and I was going on his description. In any case it is a beautiful ride but a little out of my price range at $35,000

Well, from my perspective, It's a pretty nice looking V-twin, that doesn't look like much fun to ride as it is to look at, and it costs 35LARGE - Then it must be an Indian.

He says its an Indian on his web page. I dunno.

Bourget is 35+ so is Big Dog and Iron Horse. There are butts for those types of seats. I think its pretty wall art but like most would not pay that money for it.

It's awesome looking but for a fraction of the money I'd rather do the LC Fabrications hardtail conversion to a standard Bonneville and figure out what kind of bearings I need to mount up a springer front end (preferably leaf-springer).

I think you hit on something here, John. I think this "Indian"(or whatever it is) would look even better with a leaf-springer on it, as it somewhat already has the look of a 1920s era motorcycle.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

A Harley Davidson mechanic neighbor, who is currently moonlightling as a school janitor dropped off a book for me to read "Rebuilding the Indian" by Fred Haefele. Fred's apparently from Missoula and besides being a arborist (tree surgeon) bought a 1941 Indian Chief in 1995 for a restoration project. The book goes into all the sorted & assorted places & people he found along the "parts trail". It's been pretty interesting.

Of course I had a fringed seat on my 02 America just to confuse and irritate people .

I find myself rather confused and strangely irritated by that.

WOW! Three models under 30 Large - Seems like a lot of money for two ugly mudgaurds and a little do-dad on the front one. Way too old school for me. Goes way beyond retro and enters the relm of antiquated, old fashoned... I'd venture to say that there are some who find that appealing. To each their own, and more power to 'em. But, for that kind of money I could start a very nice stable containing a wide range of style and purpose. IMMHO, they won't get beyond being a very low volume producer with that styling, and they won't last long if they can't sell volume. If anybody wants one, they'd better get it quick.
