No problem. I first heard about it about half an hour after it happened.

Yes, it is. But that accident was 99% avoidable for those 1%ers.

So much for the idea that the euphemism of 1% makes them any smarter than the rest of the 99.95 percent of us eh?
I wonder if the ones hospitalized got any more "Respect" than anyone else?

100% - 1% = 99%, not 99.95% Main Entry: eu·phe·mism Pronunciation: \ˈyü-fə-ˌmi-zəm\ Function: noun Etymology: Greek euphemismos, from euphemos auspicious, sounding good, from eu- + pheme speech, from phanai to speak — more at ban Date: circa 1681 : the substitution of an agreeable or inoffensive expression for one that may offend or suggest something unpleasant; also : the expression so substituted I'm just sayin'...

Yea ..I know.....but in reality I think the real number of 1% MC club members in the US alone is probably way less than 1% of all who ride motorcycles. I have no way to determine that but 99.95.is probably close enough.
And they do seem to consider themselves "above" the rest but they ultimately fall prey like anyone else who defies common sense in the roadway.

I think the number just stuck from "the bad old days." I'm sure all those yuppies on their Harleys pushed the non-outlaw number well above 99%.

Yes......and I still find it strangely disengenuous that the mystique surrounding 1% clubs causes a disproportionate degree of "passion" from some elements of the majority when it comes to defending their (1% ers) so called right to unwavering respect.
That a minority element with clear cut issues surrounding the long storied behaviors of same thinks they can or should mandate the behaviors of the majority is amazing to me.
I speak of the old world territoriality and patch wearing versus not "allowed" patch wearing as supposedly driven by their protocols and the various Confederation of Clubs that are controlled by the minority and of whom seem to have no problems with intimidation and fear to get their way.
Even when none of the protocols are "law" or much less known by so many who are motorcycle enthusiasts.
Now..hows that for a wordy explanation
