I'm putting together a travel tool kit, and I have wrenches, spark plugs, sockets, duct tape, flash light, fuses, ect... Extra coils, and an ignitor is next on the list. I've read through some of the know problems/fixes to get some ideas, but what would you suggest?

If i was that worried about breaking down, i'd just stay home!
Seriously though, my lovely triumph has only failed to make it home when it was inadvertently wedged beneath a guardrail. That really wasn't the bikes fault.
Edit:Dang! If i ever do break down, i'll just call zmilin.

I only carry it now cause IF I ever left it at home I know that Murphys Law would be enforced and Id need it then.

Hey Zmilin, thanks for the input. Extra bulbs great idea. On my way home from Indy Moto GP, my shift rod fell off, and was dragging on ground. E-Z fix cause I didn't lose the bolt or fitting, glad I had a few tools.

glad it might help...everything is based on worst case scenarios I have heard of or been in....

* You run over something and poke a hole in your oil filter...as long as you can get oil your ok but what about a filter that fits...hence my spare filter on looong rides. I used to carry a printed list of compatable filters BUT what if your in the middle of some small town and all the parts stores are closed. You can get oil at a supermarket if needed but not a filter.
* Its dusk and you loose track of time, on your way down a twisty mountain road the headlight decides it dont wanna work...Ohsheeeeetttttt!
* You forget your wallet or worse yet it gets lifted....some quarters for a payphone.
* Fuses...duh!
* Your riding with a buddy and he/she goes down. The bike is ridable but you need to duct tape or tie some parts back on...Ive been there done that...ask Conwy!
* flat tire...well...Ive never used my tire kit on my bike but a few weeks after I got it I was able to help a stranded rider get patched up and back to a gas station.
* spare bulbs...my Kisan tail light went out one day...I was lucky...I was at a dealer sponsored event but since then I carry a spare bulb for tail and turn signals.

I guess I just like being prepared

I'm really surprised you don't include a couple o' fine cigars in that repertoire of yours. Suddenly you find yourself stopping for a sunset at the finest view in history. You reach for a cigar to celebrate the occasion and... YOU AIN'T GOT NONE!!

I think I have a flashlight, a book of matches, a couple of wet cigarettes in my forkbag, never even had to open it on the road...

Condoms? What kind of road-side emergency would this help with? Like all of a sudden, Megan Fox's limo breaks down?

I'm thinking along the lines of "Thelma & Louise"

Butt, I've seen "Deliverance" also.
