So I didn't get to watch the first season when it aired, but just did a weekend watch of the whole first season. What a great show! But then the question came to mind... "Are there people selling the full rocker T-shirts/jackets and are there people dumb enough to wear them?" A quick search and the answer is yes. On Ebay, there are some sellers offering black T's with the full SOA colors on the back!
As to people being dumb enough... I'm never let down on that one.

Do you think there will be any isolated repercussions from individuals wearing these items, or have we become a kinder, understanding society enough to overlook wannabe morons wearing TV colors?

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

I wouldn't think that anyone would catch trouble for wearing one of those shirts because it's not a real club. Not like if someone had on a Hells Angels or some other 1% shirt. I think they would see that shirt and just be like.... poser
But why would someone want to wear it? Probably because they don't even ride a motorcycle

I see people wearing those "1% supporter" t-shirts at every "bike week" I attend.

I guess they think it's cool.

Do you think that the suburban youths that walk around the local mall dressed like urban street thugs grow up to be those guys

I saw at the Farmyard party this year a couple of blokes with "Wild Hogs" patches on thier jackets.

My first impression was "c***S".

At the Bonneville 50th there was some "c**k" dressed up like Marlon Brando. Ok so if you are on an authentic bike maybe it's not a problem but when I then saw him later climbing into a ford focus then that is soooo .

As to wearing SOA stuff then I think you good folks have already hit the nail on the head.

Saw a dweeb in Warm Springs , Ga . on a metric sportin' a leather vest with the Sons of Anarchy colors . What an idjit .

A guy I know has an M/C here in Ga . , has bottom rockers , Outlaws pulled up to his group and told 'em to lose the rocker or get hurt . They meant it .

I saw quite a few full SOA shirts/jackets being worn at the last Laconia rally. And a number of "clubs" from NY and Mass with 2 or 3 patch jackets. I was surprised you can't get away with that kinda stuff around here. The only non 1% club I know of with 3 patches are the Iron Pigs (cop club).

Wait a minute here! Why are you guys callin' these folks names for wearin' clothes patterned after TV characters??? HUH???!!!

Well, I think it's...it's...

YEP! 'Cuz THIS means that I can ONCE AGAIN be considered "cool" when I dig out my old Fonzie PJs and start wearin' 'em to bed again!!!

(...and I'll just tell the wife that evidently she's not "hip to the latest trends" when she starts laughin' at me!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

They had booths at the Sturgis Rally selling the T-shirts and stuff. Plus downtown had a big banner up annoucing the start of the next season.
Just look at the Orange County Chopper guys, people buy their shirts, but will never be able to afford their bikes.
They have made most of their money from license product sells.

Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?

Dwight,

"Fonz" PJ's?

Now that right there is an image that should never have been aired on a public forum.

Seeing as I am in Banditos territory I would hate to be wearing a shirt like that when they start to feel like starting $hit. It seems to me like it would quickly turn from a TV show T shirt to a target.

Guess that is what I'm expecting to happen. All you need is a club in the right or wrong place and time and somebody could get hurt out of ignorance. I know that when the local Moose or VFW riders want to wear colors or full back patches and rockers, they will as a courtesy, go to the local MC that 'owns' the area and ask for permission.

I see the franchised shirt sales only have the logo for SAMCRO on the front of the T's with no rockers, and I think this is the reason why. Only the bootleggers with the desire to make money will disregard proper protocol with the MCs. Just my opinion, but ignorant wannabes may get confronted and hurt. I know I sure wouldn't wear anything close to MC colors.

later, Tom.

I doubt wearing a T-shirt would cause any problem with those BADAZZ MC clubs.......ya know the ones with documented issues and often seen on the History channell under the "GANGS" moniker.

Unless you walk right into their clubhouse or an establishment where they typically hang.

More benign MC clubs likely could care less.

Now wearing a patch with top and bottom rockers might attract some attention if viewed by your typical 1% neanderthal. At a minimum those buggers would ask ya to remove it.

They do play serious in some places in the US...especially the gangster clubs.

Problem is all the lesser little non 1% and 1% wannabes that are full patch members of any club see it differently.

Protocols of clubs are all based on the original 1% clubs and the state confederation of clubs all answer to the states dominate club which is ..ya guessed it "usually a 1% type of club that is seen on the History channel and of whom some percentage of their members reside within prison walls."

Heck. Some states are so anal retentive that the PGR patch is banned supposedly (Oklahoma and Florida)

Evidently a shite storm was purportedly caused in OK when rumor has it some PGR riders told some club members to go have relations with themselves.

Pretty sad when a benign well meaning patch is brutalized with threats of intimidation and force by a minority.

Just don't.....it just gives some prospect an excuse to try and impress ( which it wont) but by then it is too late for the poser.....kind of like wearing one of those "feathered" "cowboy" hat bands to a ropeing or real bar.....you may or may not get your but kicked but for sure, NO ONE will think your cool ...... unless your stacked like Pam Anderson then no one cares what you have on.

I think dudes will catch some flak. I know that if I was in a serious club and it became some tv show, I'd be ready to straighten a few guys out. Im not saying its right, but I wouldnt be surprised. Wearing colors TO ME is something you dont even talk about...its not something you should find at walmart. I would imagine these guys take their lifestyle serious, and being a walking parody of that is not something theyre going to "joke" with you about.

Yeah! You're right, Soren!!! AND I'll betcha once the writers on this "SOA" show here get to the point where they can't think up any more plausible storylines for their characters, that NONE of these loser "SOA" members will EVER have enough cajones to even CONSIDER jumpin' THEIR friggin' bike over a friggin' shark tank EITHER, dude!!!!

(...let alone start up a friggin' jukebox with just a rap of their fist!!!)

I am not going to wear one but what is the difference between that and wearing a West Coast Chopper or OCC shirt? Or a Red Sox jersey or any logo'd shirt.? no more or less of a poser. Go grab ten shirts out of your drawer and I bet they have logos that you dont have any affiliation with. Not saying, I'm just saying...

And their club structure is not even based on MC clubs anyway, they ride gay bikes, and have a woman ****** running the club. Nothing like a real club, at all. Right or wrong, the show sucks.

Seen a guy at the hill climb the other day with a sons of ARCHERY shirt on. Skeleton with bow and arrow, top and bottem rocker. Ithought it was kind of cool until a couple of SOS patches walked by then I moved away from him. I wonder if that guy even had a clue?

I like the show. I wear the T-shirt (without rockers)

No one in my club or any local club has made one negitave comment about it.
Some of us like the show, others aren't interested, but no one I know takes it
as seriously as this thread seems to make it.

It is a T-shirt. I've had reactions to my colors one way or another, but never
to a TV show shirt. I can't say that I've ever given a ****** whether people
thought I was cool or not while wearing it. I can say that I've had great
conversations with complete strangers about the show from wearing that shirt
while I was out farting around in my car.

Perhaps I have been more lax in my language than I realize.
I'll have to pay more attention to that.

As for being aggressive, I may be more so than the average person,
and used to be much more so than the average person who lived
through it. Alas I am cursed to be a flawed mortal for the time
being and this is not likely to change, however I don't think
it is the problem or hinderance to my life it once was.
