i want to change the look of my bike, and i know chopping the rear fender is an option, but i remember seeing a silver TBA out of a dealership in texas with a custom rear fender attached. Has anyone done a mod like this, and can anyone point me in the direction of a fender?
Thanks.

theres a guy out there that makes fiberglass fenders that kinda resemble Harley designs with built in tail lights.. I forget the name though. You ever thought about getting the stock fender smoothed?

Thats definately one of the better looking bob jobs Ive seen for these bikes. Although it kinda looks really rough around the edges for some reason. Almost like its photoshopped in even though its not.

Hi all, Not been on for a while... My fender didn't come from any shop... A little planning, a little moulding, and a little trimming.... Then changed the rear shocks and trimmed again... I like the result though... £140 in plain fibreglass finish... Bloody expensive !!

Hi Pete did mine for £150.00 that includes fender lights and turn signals and paint job to match tank which was perfect also he fitted it for me, you can’t say that is expensive. And I still have the old one to put back on when I want to sell. Cheers Andy http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Spiky.Liza...feat=directlink

I noticed on a different post that the new Thunderbird looks to have a chopped fender. I wonder if it would fit on our bikes?

you can use any fender as long as it is 8-9 inches wide(for 180-200mm tire). you will have to drill your own mounting holes......RWD fenders found in drag specialties and j&p cycles catalogs are good heavy gauge fenders......angelis

Hi again guys, The seat on my baby is a one off hand made, (yours truly. Leather upholstered, GRP base. Unfortunately not just any catalogue fender will fit... I was looking in catalogues, and contacted PJ glass when I decided to 'reorganise' mine. In the end I made one up from scratch in GRP, glassed mounts etc. The fender is approx 5mm thick which should make it at least as strong as the steel one I took off....
