Sometimes adverts show just a bit of real life. This currently being shown to School kids in the UK maybe it should be picked up world wide...If it stops one person then its worth it.....

I saw this on a friends profile on facebook... all I could think was that idiots shouldnt drive. Honestly... its a bit sad when you have to scare people into NOT doing something that requires at least one hand AND their attention while operating a motor vehicle.

Wow! That really says it all. People need to see the reality of their choices. Thanks for sharing.

Back in the days of bag phones, I was riding along in the car marveling at the world of modern conveniences, & how I could get phone chores done, and be on the move at the same time. A few miles later I had to wonder: Was that stop light back there red or green as I rolled through? Turned me into a stop and call user, (most of the time anyway.)

Wendy showed this to me on her facebook. From what I hear they are trying to ban it.

reminds me of the flicks we had to watch in high school while in our driver's ed class. Seems to me that this current version is right in line with those of the late 70's. (sure am glad driver's ed was after the lunch break)

Holy crap, that is one powerful video!! I would like to think it helps stop the foolery of using phones while driving. It supports my stand about us riders not using such devices while riding too.

Thanks for the link. Everyone should see this. I shared it on f-book.

In that case, here's an idea. Maybe if these folks would or could occasionally receive some kind of automated text message while they're behind the wheel that might read somethin' like:

-hey moron i gues u cant c that big azz truk heded rite at u rite now cuz ur lookn at ths f ing thing insted of the road huh-

Well, I wonder if somethin' like that might awaken these people to the idea that texting and driving at the same time "might not" exactly contribute to their longevity and/or to the longevity of all the other motorists around them???

Do you guys think THAT might work?

Eeh, probably not, huh?! I guess some folks just will never "get the message", huh?!

(and that of course won't be due to them not having enough signal-strength bars on their phones either, ya know)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Around here, they text with both hands and "drive" with their knees!

I've gotten good at punching in DRIVING! in all caps without looking at the phone when my girlfriend is peppering me with text after text.
