I figured it would be more common, but is there a good place to find people who want to swap tanks for the purpose of changing color schemes...????

I have a 2003 Speedy with the Black/Red scheme that I bought used.... Not really a fan of Bright Red....

I have seen some tanks at dealers... that they aquired as take-offs.... but they want stupid money for them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Troy

ebay or try listing a trade for a trade in the classifieds.

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Yeah, classifieds is about it man. Even if you're on good terms with your dealer & bring him a perfect tank, he'll only give ya' below wholesale for it then charge you the difference. Ya' might post ads on sites like this though & find someone else not happy with their paint. Ya' never know... you might find someone who'll switch their tank/fenders with ya' for next to nothing.

Yeah, I would say the same Troy. There are always tanks and fenders on eBay. There are quite a few there right now but I don't think swapping is very common. Good luck man.

I have a black 09 I'd like to be able to swap for the black and white scheme. I'd be nervous about doing it online sight unseen though. You just never know what you are going to get.

A black '09 tank is a different style than an '03 Speedmaster.
