What's insane about that.... That is what the TT is all about being right on top of the action... This is also why so many people get hurt when someone bites the dust..... Estimated speed of the bikes is around 180mph....

Oh it's insane alright. I remember watching IOM on a big screen at the Nelson RAT Raid. There were zoomed in shots of bikes breaching the crest of a hill with the front tire off the ground and in a super HIGH SPEED wobble. It is said that they have that throttle wide open for 80% of the race!!!
Makes me look like a tea toddler as I (in my mind) race through the mountain passes around these parts. You know what I think? I think all those guys drink tons of water prior to the race and have to pee like crazy!!! That's why they can ride so fast!!!

I haven't seen side car racing in years! I always loved watching that both on and off road. I also haven't seen lawnmower racing in years that was fun to watch too. Something about a 1966 Snapper going 60mph is fun.

Balls, check. They all have them. I watched the Isle TT highlights on speed this year. Tevo'd all of it. I was pulling hard for Guy Martin, a real hard working down to earth cat, it appears. Those dudes let it all hang out. I would love to be able to attend one of those...from a distance. The Ulster race looks like a blast as they are all starting in a gaggle, racing each other instead of the clock. First I have heard of that one, thanks for the heads up. Cool man, just cool!!

I like the old open side car racing. Could see what the monkey was doing better, amazing how they hang off the bike.
