I went riding to do some errands during the lunch hour today, and it felt like the second half of October with the temps around 68 or so. I'm not complaining a bit, mind you, but this is just plain weird. This time of year in Argh-kansaw, we're usually in the mid to high nineties, but we haven't had that for over a week and a half, and we haven't had a normal really hazy, muggy day since July. My electric bills should be almost bearable, since I'm not even running the A/C. Even the grass on the lawn is only growing half as quickly, so I don't have to mow the stuff nearly as often. I just hope people don't think this is normal and start moving here in droves. Me likes me elbow room!!!

Unseasonably mild in Baltimore, too...we are usually perspiring like sinners at a camp meeting about now. Perhaps the Earth is preparing to shift into another Ice Age...only Dennis Quaid can help us now ;-)

It's been a lousy summer in Omaha - 65 degrees today and should be 90 out - very cloudy and wet. Feels like Seattle. Yuck!

Hmmm...out here in Seattle, it's partly cloudy and about 70 deg F. Beautiful bike riding weather , just got to get me another bike now.

It figures, past couple of years it was too warm to gear up and ride. Now I have a pool and it hasn't been warm enough to keep it up to a decent temp. easier for riding though.

Well, I gotta say that at least all these brush fires here in L.A. are sure makin' these sunsets 'round here a rather nice shade of orange lately!!!

(...and quite often with just a subtle hint of umber, I might add)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My tomatoes taste great, they're just the size of golf balls. Could the inactivity of the Sun have something to do with it? Think Stockholm will ask for the Noble prize money back? Just sayin.

Summer. When did that happen? Think the last good summer here in Scotland was 1997
