I wish mine were rusty, then I'd have an excuse to sand them down and paint them black! just my 2 cents.

If you want to rust them, just mix up a 5% salt to 95% water solution, and put them in a enclosed chamber, and mist the solution over them. Give it 24 hours, and they'll be rusty. I'd like to know a chrome shop to get my headers dipped too. Anybody?

There is a shop here in St. Louis that TonyG had his forks chromed by, I can't remember the name of the shop. Maybe he will chime in. I would like to have a couple pieces chromed too (surprise! ).

Here's a link to St Louis Plating. They do very good work. They have a price list for Harley and Honda parts that you can use to estimate costs. Click Here If I were in California though, there are any number of platers available to re-chrome your parts. It seems to be the custom car center of the world!

Just brace yourself for when they tell you how much it's gonna cost. I'd talk to the bank first about a second mortgage before going to the chrome shop.

Industrial Plating in Omaha is a great place to use as well. I've had several aircraft parts refinished and they look amazing.
